Many artists must have more fragments than just exhibits, but the thought process that goes there and pieces of things that didn't become a piece. Wouldn't it be nice to record it or attempt to make a zine using it as a thought exercise. Perhaps this exhibition may trigger a reinventing the production itself through the work of editing a zine, to reinvent the media called zine. The exhibition at South Kiosk features a selection of recorded improvisations - words appearing in and out amongst gaps, pauses, full stops and ends. These move through shapeshifting pictures, images that are refreshed every sentence or every word.&nbsp; This project was initiated as a playful attempt to explore two artists’ shared interest in language and its structure whilst navigating their distinctive relationships with an act of writing, grammar, construction and creativity. Peter Glasgow is a visual artist who lives and works in Belfast. His work explores structure and signification, both within language and in an external world of signs. Individual works use modes of framing, the interpretive and the act of talking about something to transform their subject. He graduated in 2015 from MA Fine Art Printmaking at the Royal College of Art and was a co-director of Catalyst Arts in Belfast. Exhibitions include Mediating Signals at Flax Art Studios, Belfast (2021), Tap, tap, tap at millimetre02, Kingsgate Project Space, London (2019) and Imagining Lines In Other Narratives for Art Licks Weekend 2018. Sun Park is a South Korean artist based in London for the time being. She is interested in silence, emptiness and fatigue produced by structures of power. She works with moving image as a way to rearrange perimeters and unveil limitations of language and image making. She graduated from MA Artists’ Film &amp; Moving Image at Goldsmiths and is part of Ballpark Collective, a group of moving image artists producing a regular exhibition series: Reality Sandwiches. Chewing an Old Gum (2020) collages email exchanges between Susanne and Sun as they recount hazy moments in seclusion, with daily murmurs, images and an eclectic selection of artists’ films. Project #2 31-day durational performance Susanne Dietz and Sun Park’s collaborative project Chewing an Old Gum is a 31-day moving image projection that takes place on windows of their respective studio and residence. During the last month of 2020, Dietz and Park will be screening moving images from their personal archives and found favourites, intermixed with occasional live performances. This daily projection of mundane surprises is a ritualistic countdown to New Year. Our window screenings are open to passersby, neighbours on our streets and local visitors, daily from 1 to 31 Dec, 6–9pm. video using an infamous highrise building, Lotte Tower, in Seoul as a punchbag. Due the similarities between the aesthetics of this building in Seoul and The Shard in London, Sympathetic Magic misled the London audience to belive that they are looking at The Shard. Like many contemporary&nbsp; high-rise buildings, Lotte World Tower has been a controversial project involving sinkholes, light reflection amongst many other issues around urban planning.&nbsp; Sympathetic Magic and Looking up will only make you fall are site specifically created for a group exhibition at SET Bermondsey. Sympathetic Magic is a playful rebellion against a neoliberal city and bring back the power to those who are trapped in an urban city built on capitalism. The video is installed inside a plastic gift package from the Shard’s gift shop misleading the London audience to think of The Shard which they have probably spotted on their way to the gallery in Bermondsey. Looking up will only make you fall was shot at a shopping mall in the Lotte World Tower while riding escalators up and down.
